Chuck's Pocket Network Sniffer
Here is a MUST have tool for Network Administrators.
Pocket Sniffer is small enough to fit in your pocket so you will have with you when you need it.
Just what is a Pocket Sniffer?
A Pocket Sniffer is a modified 10 Base T (MAU) that runs on a single 9volt
battery.
What does it do?
When you plug a CAT5 or CAT6 Network cable it will
show you if it sees a HUB, SWITCH or other Network Device.
An example is if you have an office with a bunch of network outlets and you need
to know which ones are connected (HOT) to a switch and which ones are not.
